Australian Arrow Pty. Ltd. is a wholly owned subsidiary of Yazaki Corporation in Japan, which comprises of 172 companies at 442 business sites in 38 countries and employs approximately 200,000 employees. By June 2008, annual net sales of the Yazaki group amounted to almost 1.5 trillion Yen (~US$14b).
Australian Arrow was incorporated in 1996, with total sales of about of AUD$170 million.
Since 1974, Australian Arrow has expanded its operations to become the pre-eminent designer and manufacturer of electrical distribution systems and electronic products, supplying the Australian car industry, as well as exporting to South East Asia, the United States and Europe. With facilities in Victoria, South Australia and the independent republic of Samoa, Australian Arrow employs approximately 1,000 people.
In January 2009, AAPL moved into its new headquarter at 46 Lathams Road. This new building, with its 5,000m² of office and laboratory space as well as 3,500m² of production and warehouse space, now houses AAPL's electronics cleanroom manufacturing as well as the state-of-the-art testing facility, a wiring harness prototype shop and metrology.
The move coincided with the relaunch of our Yazaki brand name. While the company name remains Australian Arrow Pty Ltd, all public information and communication will now be under the Yazaki name
